Current Challenge
Airmeet is a platform for virtual summits, meetups & workshops with a social lounge to deliver a rich networking experience. In Airmeet, the session backstage is only accessible when a session has not yet started or is paused. During a live session, there is no backstage access.
This limitation presents several challenges:
-
Troubleshooting on the Fly: If a speaker encounters issues during a live session, they must switch to another platform for assistance, disrupting the flow.
-
Late Arrivals: When a speaker arrives late, there’s no private space to brief or prepare them before they go live, impacting the quality of the session.
-
Private Discussions: Event organizers lack a private area to discuss session management strategies during a live session, limiting their ability to respond to dynamic situations effectively.
Proposed Solution
To address these challenges, we propose the introduction of a persistent backstage, accessible even during live sessions. This enhancement will allow hosts to seamlessly move speakers between the stage and backstage as needed.
Goals
- Reduce speaker anxiety with a stable environment for preparation
- Enable seamless transitions between sessions
- Improve speaker and host coordination for a smoother event experience
- Enhance event control with backstage visibility even during live sessions
- Reduce last-minute issues caused by switching between live and backstage
Problem statement
To introduce a persistent backstage functionality which will significantly improve the flexibility and control for hosts, leading to smoother, more professional live sessions.
The backstage will serve as a private space for:
-
Technical Troubleshooting: Speakers can resolve any issues without disrupting the live session.
-
Speaker Preparation: Late-arriving speakers can be briefed and prepared before joining the live stage.
-
Organizer Coordination: Event organizers can conduct private discussions to manage the session more effectively.
